‘The Digital Educator’ Online Course for Teachers
In partnership with UNESCO’s Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) in New Delhi, the Board has introduced interactive digital courses. These courses integrate social and emotional skills and revolve around themes that support the achievement of SDG 4.7. All courses are hosted on MGIEP’s digital learning platform, Framer Space (www.framerspace.com), which is designed to promote indigenous knowledge and innovative learning experiences.
The Digital Educator: A Primer (15 hours)
The new course introduces teachers to digital pedagogies, blending traditional teaching methods with technology to enhance learning experiences. Its aim is to empower teachers by equipping them with the skills to integrate modern technology effectively into their classrooms, fostering innovative teaching approaches.
- Understanding Digital Pedagogy
- Designing a Digital Pedagogy learning experience
- Navigating the Digital Space
- Teaching-Learning in Hybrid Settings
- Assessments in the Digital World
This self-paced course, offered in both English and Hindi, spans 15 hours. Upon completion, participants will receive a certification jointly issued by CBSE and UNESCO MGIEP. This certification fulfills half-credit requirements for continuous professional development (CPD) as outlined in the NEP.
